Church of the Covenant
11275 Euclid Avenue
Cleveland, Ohio
The church underwent a complete exterior makeover in 2001. The entire exterior facade was cleaned using low pressure water soakers, preserving the integrity of the stone while comprehensively removing layers of pollution and staining. Nearly 275 cracked / deteriorated stone were removed and replaced with custom cut new stone which were washed and textured to match exactly to the original piece. Cracked and deteriorated finials were also removed. Rather than incur the extreme cost of a stone sculptor, the latest technologies were used and the finials recreated using a fiberglass material. This material and the final results were approved by the Cleveland Landmarks Commission, as the Church of the Covenant is a historic landmark.
